Looks like I will only be posting once a month. Hopefully, I will get a little better at it. Whats new...Luke has started eating baby food. We've only tried sweet potatoes and rice cereal. Sweet potatoes are his fave so far. Caleb is learning to work the system very well. He is keeping us on our toes. I must say that he is very well behaved, but is very, very smart at how he plays Donnie and I. We have tons of good stories, but my brain is fried...I'll try one. Recently, Caleb dreamed he swallowed a quarter. He woke up crying in the middle of the night. I go in to find him half awake in the bed. The next morning when he has to use the bathroom he is really worried that the money will fall out. Apparently, he wanted to keep the money in his belly. I try to get to the bottom of the story, because I thought that it was a dream. Now he says it really happened sometime the day before. Although, he recalls no details. My mommy instincts begin to pick up on that this may not be true. I have tried to convince I am the smartest person in the world and that I will always find out the truth. He hasnt quite bought that line yet. Anyways, we go to the doctor today for Luke and I ask the nurse what we should do if there really is a quarter in my son's belly. She picks up on my mommy vibes and makes a huge deal about an x-ray. So, before the doc comes in I have a heart to heart with Caleb about telling the truth and what will happen if we find no quarter in his belly. I give him a minute to tell the truth of which shortly followed a brief silence. It really was a dream. So, he had to tell the doctor. Caleb waited until the doctor addressed Luke's issues ( a bad cough) and then states that he has lied about the money really being in his belly....and that "the main thing to never tell a lie" and he did because it was really a dream. We have a wonderful doctor who graciously accepted Caleb's plea and sent him on his was with ninja turtle stickers. Obviously, Donnie and I have some follow up to do, but for now Caleb said he felt better telling the truth.

I am finally getting some Halloween pictures posted. Caleb was a black PowerRanger and Luke was a green dinosaur with purple polka dots. The highlight of the night was a hayride at Uncle Brad's. There was a mass of about 13 Turner kids and friends piled onto a trailer. They bombarded Brad's neighborhood. The old trick-or-treat is no longer effective. Instead the group chanted "we want candy" at every door followed. I was at the back of the pack trying to make Caleb say thank you to everyone...I think I won a couple of those battles. Caleb and Olivia (his cousin) are two of a kind. The whole time they are together they entertain each other with poop jokes. Which started to spill out at the dinner table and anywhere else he could interject them. So, now we have a new rule - You can only tell poop jokes with Olivia. One slipped the other day in the car and the first thing he asked was "Are you going to tell dad?"

This weekend Caleb and I ( amy) have both been sick. Yuck! I think that we've made it through it with the grand finale of all night vomiting. Don't you wish you were here. Caleb said that his brain hurt when his fever got really high. When he felt like he was doing better he said his fever was down and would show us where it was...like up to his nose or if he was really feeling good it would be down to his belly. Luke continues to entertain us with his smiles and coos. They are hard to resist even at 3 in the morning. We are starting a remodel on the house! I am nervous about the whole thing. I will send pictures as we go.
